Spa/Sauna

Every Suite Villa and Deluxe Villa comes with its own private sauna and natural hot spring, plus a cold plunge pool fed by spring water from the foot of Mt. Fuji — for a totonou experience that runs deep. Multiple shared saunas are also planned for the property, opening in summer 2026 — combine them with your villa's private sauna for four distinct sauna experiences in a single stay.

Your Own Private Sauna, Wrapped in Quiet Heat

Close the villa door, and the sauna is entirely yours.
A TYLÖ heater fills the room with a gentle 80–100°C heat that draws out a slow, deep sweat.
The heater itself stays out of sight, so all that meets your eyes is warm wood paneling — and silence.

From a 10°C Mt. Fuji Spring-Water Plunge to Fresh Forest Air — One Seamless Path to Totonou

Step out of the sauna, and the plunge pool is just a few paces away. Sink in up to your shoulders in 10°C water drawn from natural springs at the foot of Mt. Fuji, and every trace of heat resets in an instant.

Breathe in the cool air rising off the 60cm-deep pool for thirty seconds.
Then ease into a lounge chair for your outdoor rest, as a breeze from 1,000 meters above sea level brushes your damp skin and conifer greens sway beyond your eyelids.

This is the soft, mineral-rich touch of natural spring water — something you can only find at the foot of Mt. Fuji.

A Sodium-Rich Natural Hot Spring, to Melt Away What the Sauna Left Behind

After the sauna and cold plunge have done their work, a natural hot spring takes your body one step further. Piped to all 13 villas, our sodium-rich simple thermal spring soaks gently into the skin, and its warmth stays with you long after you step out.

Soaking in an open-air bath with Mt. Fuji in view is a kind of quiet you simply won't find at a day-use sauna facility.

Sauna → spring-water plunge → forest air rest → sauna → hot spring: this five-step cycle is yours to repeat as many times as you like through the night — and there's nowhere quite like it.

Complimentary Drinks to Enjoy Before and After Your Sauna

After your sauna, help yourself to complimentary herbal tea — a gentle way to soothe a body that's just worked up a good sweat.

Then, as evening settles in, it's time for Nature Bar: Yamanashi wine, sake from local breweries, and draft Sapporo Black Label and Yebisu, all complimentary.

Take your glass over to the large bonfire circle, where rainbow-colored flames seem to light up both the night forest and your mood.

※Nature Bar is open from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. Is the sauna available 24 hours a day?A. Yes, it's available around the clock. Since it's completely private, you're free to use it whenever suits you — a morning sauna to start the day is a great option too.
  • Q. Can I do löyly (pouring water on the stones)?A. Yes, self-serve löyly is available — pour at your own pace. You can also try löyly with the herbal tea available at the front desk building for a fragrant twist.
  • Q. Do I need to wear a swimsuit in the sauna?A. Yes, swimwear is required. Although the sauna is completely private to your villa, please note that it's designed to be visible from outside. Resting on the terrace with Mt. Fuji in view is a totonou experience you won't find anywhere else.
  • Q. Is there a cold plunge pool?A. Yes — a cold plunge filled with Mt. Fuji spring water sits right alongside the natural hot spring bath, so you can move between hot and cold for a full contrast-bathing experience.
  • Q. Is there a space for outdoor air rest?A. Yes — two reclining chairs are set up on the terrace for exactly that.
  • Q. Can couples or mixed groups use the sauna together?A. Yes, of course. Since it's completely private, you can enjoy it together without any concerns — a great choice for sauna beginners too.
  • Q. Is there an emergency stop button?A. Yes, every sauna is equipped with one. Please don't hesitate to press it if you're feeling unwell.
  • Q. How long does it take for the sauna to heat up?A. It takes about 50 to 60 minutes. If you'd like to use it as soon as possible, we recommend turning on the sauna's power right after you check in.
  • Q. Can I use the sauna and hot spring if I have tattoos?A. Yes. Because both the sauna and the hot spring bath are completely private to your room, guests with tattoos are welcome without any concerns — unlike public onsen facilities.
  • Q. Can I use the sauna without staying overnight?A. We're sorry, but the private saunas in our Villa-type rooms are reserved exclusively for overnight guests staying in that villa. We'd love for you to book a stay and enjoy it at your own pace, without watching the clock.
