Fujiten Snow Resort is a ski area on the northern side of Mt. Fuji, in Narusawa Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, about 15 minutes by car from Glamping Village Fuji Kawaguchiko.
Guests staying at the property receive free round-trip shuttle service and free rental of a full ski wear set, so a day on the snow takes very little preparation and very little luggage.
The shuttle runs between Kawaguchiko Station and the villa, and between the villa and the ski area. Guests meet at Kawaguchiko Station at 11:00 and are back at the villa by 17:30, which leaves about five hours on the slopes. Nobody in the group has to drive on winter roads.
The ski wear set is handed over at the villa and includes a jacket, pants, gloves, and goggles. Sizes are S, M, L, XL, and 3XL. Sizes and quantities are limited, so early booking is recommended. Guests arriving by car can also use the rental free of charge, with return by 18:00.
Mt. Fuji rises directly ahead of the slopes. The courses range from gentle beginner runs to Fujiten Snow Park, which has boxes and rails for freestyle riding, and the ski school offers lessons from beginner level upward.
Guests who do not plan to ski can still spend the day here. The Mt. Fuji viewing lift can be ridden without skis or a board, and from the observation deck at an elevation of 1,485 meters both Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko are in view. Chibikko Ai Land is a snow play area with sledding and play equipment, and there is a childcare facility and a nursing room on site.
The restaurants in the Center House, Kern and Jodel, serve dishes such as Fujisan Curry and Aka-Fuji Ramen. Momi-no-Ki, partway down the course, also serves draft beer.
Lift tickets are not included and are bought on the day at the ticket counter in the Center House. The four-hour ticket that matches the skiing time on this plan cannot be purchased online. The price is the same for adults, juniors, and seniors, roughly 3,000 to 4,500 yen depending on the period and operating day.
Skis, snowboards, boots, and poles are not part of the free rental. They can be rented on the day at the Fujiten Snow Resort rental counter, where children’s sizes are available.
Back at the villa, every room type has its own natural hot spring bath, and the villa types add a sauna with a view of Mt. Fuji and a cold plunge bath. The stay plan itself is room-only, and meals can be added when booking.
